DİYARBAKIR - Those who flocked to the Newroz celebrations which was marked by the demand for freedom for Öcalan in Diyarbakır called for this demand to be taken to Amara on April 4.
The 2021 Newroz, which was held with the participation of hundreds of thousands of people with the slogan "Let's resist with the fire of Newroz, let's liberate ourselves " in Diyarbakır, was once again celebrated in a glorious way as every year. The main demand at the Newroz Celebrations was the freedom of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan. The fact that the concerns was not eased after the allegations about the health and safety conditions of Öcalan who is being held under aggravated isolation in İmralı Type F High Security Prison created anger. People gathering in the area with the slogans “Bijî Serok Apo” and “Bê Serok jiyan nabe”, told that they were there to stand against the isolation.
'THE DEMAND MUST BE TAKEN TO AMARA'
Stating that they will continue to be on the streets against the isolation, Mikail Taner said: "We will resist until we can communicate with Mr. Öcalan. The only reason we are here is to break the isolation. Isolation aims to annihilate the Kurds, to deprive them of their identity. The demand of Freedom for Öcalan must be taken to Amara on April 4th.
