NEWS CENTER - Today, the Foreign Relations Department of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria handed over 92 women and children from ISIS families to the Uzbek government, according to an official return document and protocol contracts signed by the Uzbek side at the headquarters of the Relations Department in the city of Qamishlo.

On April 28, a delegation from the Uzbek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, headed by the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the State of Kuwait, Bahramjan Alayov, arrived at the headquarters of the External Relations Department in Qamishlo.

The delegation was received by the co-chair of the Foreign Relations Department, Abdel-Karim Omar, the two vice co-chair, Fanar Kaait and Abeer Elia, and the Director of the Presidency Office, Naveh Muhammad.

Today, the co-chair of the Foreign Relations Department of the Autonomous Administration, Abdul Karim Omar, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the State of Kuwait, Bahramjan Alayov, signed a document of receiving 92 women and children from ISIS families of Uzbek nationality.

The co-chair of the Foreign Relations Department of the Autonomous Administration, Abdul Karim Omar, said during a press conference held in the department that they had delivered 68 children, including 7 orphan children, and 24 women of Uzbek origin, to the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Omar said, "Our policy in the Autonomous Administration is based on the file of extradition of ISIS families to their countries, the delivery of orphaned children, and children who have special cases to be treated abroad after the written consent of their mothers."

He explained that the Autonomous Administration repeatedly calls for holding a court for persons involved in the crimes of ISIS mercenaries of foreign origins, to be tried on the territory of the region.

For his part, the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the State of Kuwait, Bahramjan Alayov, said that they had documented the names of 180 people of Uzbek nationality in the camps.

He added: "The Uzbek government has prepared special programs to rehabilitate returnees to their country, in order to facilitate their return to their normal lives," noting that the children will be under the auspices of the President of the Republic.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the State of Kuwait expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Autonomous Administration for facilitating and securing the process of transferring ISIS families from the Uzbek nationality to their country.
