URFA - Continuing the Justice Watch, Şenyaşar family addressed the Urfa Governor and the Urfa Chief Public Prosecutora and said: "Don't be accomplices of this crime against humanity."

The Justice Watch carried out by the Şenyaşar family has reached day 374. The sit-in was launched on  March 9, 2021 by Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons as a result of the attack carried out by AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives in the Suruç province of Urfa, on June 14, 2018. Coming from their house in Suruç 42 kilometers away, the family sat on the stairs of the courthouse and started the sit-in for the day.

Between working hours, the mother and her son convey information about their struggle for justice to lawyers and citizens who go to the courthouse. Emine Şenyaşar says all she needs is justice when citizens ask if there is something they can do for the mother and son. Stating that they continue the sit-in under state oppression, Ferit Şenyaşar said: "Our sit-in left behind a year. We were not allowed in the vicinity of the courthouse when we first started the sit-in. As a result of our struggle, now we continue our sit-in on the stairs of the courthouse."

'PUBLIC OPINION EXPECTS AN EXPLANATION'

Showing the picture of the ambulance that was attacked while her two sons were in it on June 14, 2018, Şenyaşar said: "They tore apart the ambulance. My father walked in that hospital alive and died in there. We are trying to get an appointment from the prosecutor for a year and he keeps avoiding us. The public opinion expects an explanation. The Chief public prosecutor and Urfa Governor should not be accomplices to this crime against humanity with their silence."

'I WANT JUSTICE'

Stating that the people coming to the courthouse visit them ask them if they need anything, Şenyaşar said: "My mother says there is no justice, that all she needs is justice."

'A MOTHER IS SITTING IN THE FRONT GATE OF A COURTHOUSE FOR A YEAR NOW'

The family shared the following message from their Twitter account: "Hacı Esvet was a father. He went inside that hospital to see his sons. He never got out. A mother is sitting in front of a courthouse for a year. The public opinion expects an explanation from the Chief Public Prosecutor and the Urfa Governor. They should not be an accomplice to this crime against humanity with their silence."
