ANTALYA - The prisoners in Antalya Type S Closed Prison demanded human rights defenders and the Parliamentary Human Rights Investigation Commission to conduct investigations in the prison against the provocations of the administration.
Described as "new isolation areas" by rights defenders, Type S Closed Prisons have been on the public agenda with violations of rights since the day they were built. Prisoners are struggling against the arbitrary practices of the prison administration in Antalya Type S Closed Prison.
The prisoners who shared these violations through their families, stated that the guards imposed a count in the corridor outside the ward, and said, "Our wards are separated from each other and prisoners and convicts from ISIS and FETO are brought into our wards. This is a provocation. We have been carrying out actions against this. Wee are shouting slogans and banging on doors for 4 days against this practices. The prison administration has resorted to serious provocations and pressure methods. If these practices are not abandoned, we will resort to different ways of resistance. All human rights defenders and the Parliamentary Human Rights Investigation Committee should conduct investigations and visits in Antalya Type S as soon as possible."
