'Europe and coalition forces are accomplices in Tolhildan's murder'

URFA – YPJ General Command stated that leading women were targeted in Northern and Eastern Syria, and that the European states and coalition forces selling parts for drones to Turkey are accomplices.
 
Jiyan Tolhildan, one of the commanders of the Anti-Terrorist Forces (YAT), and Roj Xabûr, who were in the vehicle targeted by Turkish drones on the Qamishlo road, and YAT member Barîn Botan lost their lives. The General Command of the Women's Defense Units (YPJ) issued a written statement regarding Tolhildan, Xabûr and Botan, who lost their lives on July 23.
 
SHE WAS GRANTED AN AWARD
 
In the statement, it was stated that YAT Commander Jiyan Tolhildan (Sewal Yusif) was one of the founders of the YPJ and fought against ISIS in the Şêxmaqsûd, Şedade, Manbij and Derazor regions during the operations carried out against Al Nusra and ISIS in Sêrekaniyê in 2013. It was noted that she participated in all rescue moves. In the statement, it was stated that Tolhildan was deemed worthy of an award for her success in the fight against ISIS in the city of Sulaymaniyah of the Federated Kurdistan Regional Government.
 
THE WORDS OF JİYAN TOLHILDAN
 
In the statement it was underlined that Tolhildan chaired the first session on the role of YPJ in protecting and developing the revolution at the Women's Revolution Forum held at Qamishlo's Rojava University, the following words of Tolhildan were quoted, "Society has a history full of fighting and lead by female fighters. Rojava Revolution that started under the leadership of the leading martyrs of the pioneers and revolutionaries Sara, Arşîn, Roksan, Tohildan and Rohman. These fighters sacrificed their lives to save the society from the radical patriarchal mentality. As the YPJ, our aim is to free the Syrian society and geography from the gangs. YPJ fighters aim to protect society and women from the reactionary radical mentality and state policy that deprives them of all their legitimate rights."
 
CALL TO ALL WOMEN
 
It was stated that Tolhildan made the following call: "Since the beginning of the revolution, thousands of freedom fighters have sacrificed their lives. Women have fought for their lands at the forefront of the war, regardless of race. We believe that we will achieve and ensure the success of the democratic nation project in the region. Above all, all women and all peoples in society should strive to implement the principles of self-defense."
 
In the statement that underlined Roj Xabûr (Ciwan Heso) took part in the liberation moves against ISIS gangs with the coalition forces, it was told that Barîn Botan (Ruha Beşar) joined the YPJ at an early age with the inspiration she got from the Rojava Revolution.
 
LEADING MOVEMENTS ARE TARGETED
 
In the statement, it was noted that after the defeat of ISIS after the Rojava Revolution, Turkey targeted especially women with drone attacks, and the recent attacks were compiled as follows:
 
“* On June 23, 2020, Euphrates Region Kongra Star Coordination members Zehra Berkel and Hebûn Mela Xelîl and their host Emine Weysi lost their lives in the Helinç village of Kobanê.
 
* On August 19, 2021, Sosin Birhat (Sosin Muhammed), a member of the YPJ General Command and SDF General Command, died as a result of the bombing of the Til Temir Military Council with Turkish drones.
 
* On April 21, a vehicle was targeted by Turkish drones on the Êdiq-Textik road in Kobanê. Dilar Helep, Ronahî Kobanê and Cihan Nîdal Êlî, 3 YPJ fighters in the vehicle lost their lives. 
 
* On May 30, a vehicle was attacked by a Turkish drone in Qamishlo. YPJ fighter Mizgin Botan and Kurdish patriot Kesra Melek lost their lives in the attack, while YPJ fighter Dicle Cudî and Hêvîdar Dirbêsiyê were seriously injured.
 
* On July 2, SDF commander Sîham Mislim (Mizgîn Kobanê) lost her life in Raqqa as a result of a drone attack.”
 
EUROPE AND COALITION FORCES ARE ACCOMPLICES
 
In the statement, it was noted that attacks with drones have continued since 2021. The statement said, “The fact that some parts of the drones are sold by European countries is another proof that Europe and the coalition forces are accomplices. Former German Chancellor Angela Merkel announced that she had approved the export of 33 military products and drones with the Ankara regime. After the research of the experts, it was revealed the headquarters of the 5 companies that produces these missiles and rockets are made bu the European countries and the USA. European countries are accomplices of Turkey's every attack against North and East Syria."
 
'WE WILL AVANGE THESE LOSSES' 
 
The statement which expressed that the Turkish state and its mercenaries, which threaten to invade Northern and Eastern Syria every day, are trying to defeat the women's revolution with these assassinations, contiuned as follows: "We will avange these losses by stepping up the struggle of our comrades and commanders."
