HAKKARI- The de facto ban on entering and exiting the surrounding highlands, particularly the villages of Gise, Heşet, Zayîte, Geliyê Tiyarê, Diza Reş, and Xibe in the Çukurca district, continues.

 

While the cross-border operation carried out by Turkey with the support of the KDP in the Zap, Avaşin and Metina regions continues, the settlements on the border line are virtually isolated due to the operation. Soldiers are not allowed to enter the surrounding highlands, especially the villages of Gise, Hêşet, Zayîte, Geliyê Tiyarê (Kazan Valley), Diza Reş and Xibe, in the Çukurca district of Hakkari. Villagers are being victimized due to the de facto ban.
