AMED - 28 journalists, who shared a solidarity message for 16 journalists who were arrested in Amed on June 16 and whose indictments have not yet been prepared, demanded the release of their colleagues.

28 journalists regarding 16 journalists who have been detained in Amed since June 16 and whose indictments have not been prepared for 6 months, made a video call for their colleagues to be released. Here are the journalists' messages:

“*Sibel Yükler: 6 months from June 16 to December 16.

* Timur Soykan: 16 of our colleagues arrested in Diyarbakır have been detained without indictment for 6 months.

* Şule Aydın: Their houses were raided early in the morning. They were detained for days.

* Faruk Bildirici: Moreover, they are accused of giving information to people only because they are reporting news. We demand the immediate release of our colleagues.

* Abdurrahman Gök: They were arrested just for doing their job. Our journalist friends should be released.

* Faruk Eren: It is not clear why they are under arrest. Free our colleagues. Journalists elsewhere in Turkey have similarly been thrown into prisons, without cause, without an indictment.

* Hilmi Hacaloğlu: In fact, a stick is shown to the society through journalists.

* Mehveş Evin: Turkey is still one of the 5 countries in the world that arrests the most journalists.

* Altan Sancar: Turkey is becoming a country where journalists are arrested and spent many years in prisons every day.

* Yıldır Tar: We are right in the middle of the freedom of the press paragraph. Everyone needs to raise their voice against this injustice, lawlessness and oppression.

* Sedat Bozkurt: You cannot prevent journalism or journalists by any means of pressure.

* Elif İnci: As journalists, we know that the reason for being in prison is nothing but reporting. Free our colleagues.

* Fatih Polat: This unjust and unlawful detention should be ended as soon as possible and he should be released. 6 months of detention without an indictment is already a heavy punishment process.

* Sedat Yılmaz: This system, which has turned into punishment, needs to be abolished. Release my co-workers.

* Dicle Müftüoğlu: We call on everyone to speak up for the release of our colleagues.

* Ayşe Düzkan: We will not leave our colleagues alone, we will not leave their hands.

* Bahadır Özgür: We demand the release of our friends who are being held in prison in a fair manner.

* Diren Keser: Release the journalists who run after the truth.

* Özge Yurttaş: Stop judging, investigating and sending journalists to jail.

* Tolga Balcı: Make a sound for the release of our friends.

* Candan Yıldız: Release our friends.

* Evrim Kepenek, Tuğçe Yılmaz, Ruken Tuncel, Ece Deniz, Ayşegül Özbek, Yağmur Karagöz and Hikmet Adal: We are witnesses to the journalism of our colleagues, we want them to be released. Freedom for journalists.”
