URFA - Journalist Zekeriya Şêxo, who stated that the aid sent by the Autonomous Administration to the Şêxmeqsud and Eşrefiye neighborhoods of Aleppo affected by the earthquake was blocked by the regime and the aid sent to Afrin by Turkey, said that the regime aims to change the demographic structure by displacing the people.

Sequential earthquakes centered in Pazarcık of Maraş caused great destruction in Kurdistan, Turkey and Syria. 2 thousand 166 people lost their lives and 2 thousand 950 people were injured in Syria, which was affected by the earthquake. In Syria, where many people are still under the rubble, 6 people lost their lives and dozens were injured in the Şêxmeqsud and Eşrefiye districts of Aleppo, where Kurds live. The aid sent by the Northern and Eastern Syria Autonomous Administration to the neighborhoods where many houses have been destroyed and damaged is blocked by the Syrian regime.

Ronahî TV reporter Zekeriya Şêxo spoke to the Mezopotamya Agency about what happened after the earthquake and the prevention of aid.

THE REGIME IS CHANGING THE DEMOGRAPHY

Stating that the Autonomous Administration blocked the aid sent to the region and paved the way for immigration, Şêxo said: "Many people lived in tents in Şêxmeqsud and Eşrefiye neighborhoods due to the earthquake, and many had to migrate to Shehba. In Shehba and Aleppo, the Autonomous Administration needs fuel, tents and materials that can meet the daily needs of the people. These needs are being blocked by the government of Damascus.”

HELP IS BLOCKED

Noting that the Aleppo Autonomous Assembly met the tents and other daily needs of the people living in Şêxmeqsud and Eşrefiye districts, Şêxo said: "The aid of the Autonomous Administration was also limited due to the Syrian regime's blocking of aid. In the village of Bino in Şêxmeqsud, tent areas called Leader Apo were opened by the Aleppo Assembly and the daily needs of the people are met in these areas. In Şêxmeqsud, people cannot go to their homes because the buildings are damaged, but in Gerbî and Marûf, people can stay in their homes. The aid sent by the Autonomous Administration to Şêxmeqsud, Eşrefiye neighborhoods and Shehba from the Euphrates and Cizîr is blocked by the forces called Tugayên Çarê of the Damascus government. For this reason, the Autonomous Administration can help to a certain extent.”

Noting that another center affected by the earthquake was the Cindirês district of Afrin, Şêxo said: "The aid sent here by the Autonomous Administration was blocked by Turkey. There are documents showing that Turkey is blocking the aid. Since the aid is sent by the Autonomous Administration, the Syrian regime and the invading Turkish state are blocking the aid. We also have documentation that he blocked it.”
