BALIKESIR - Prisoner Ekrem Gün, who was sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment, is threatened with death by a person named Ismet Ozdemir, who was brought to his adjacent cell and stated that he was a shooter.
Ekrem Gün, who is arrested in Bandırma Type T Prison No. 2, was threatened with death by a person named Ismet Ozdemir, who was in the same unit and brought to the next ward. Gün, who was sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment and has been in prison for 8 years, explained the threats he was exposed to through his lawyers. Gün, who stayed in a single cell, stated that a person named Ismet Ozdemir, who was brought to a single cell next to him in the same unit 2 months ago, verbally threatened to kill him. Gün said Ismet Ozdemir said to him: “They brought me here to kill you. I will kill you. That's why they don't send you to another prison.”
THREAT WITH A LETTER!
Gün said that Ozdemir sent death threats written on paper on January 23 and that he still has the text. Stating that Ozdemir identified himself as the shooter and said: "I killed many people like you.” Gün warned the authorities through his lawyer.
HE ALSO TOLD THE PROSECUTOR
The prison prosecutor's office took Ozdemir's statement after he filed a criminal complaint as a result of the threats he received. Stating that despite the criminal complaint, life safety was not ensured and no precautions were taken, Gün shared the following message through his lawyers: “If something happens to me, know that it is not suicide. Because I'm not someone who would commit suicide. I've been experiencing these for a while.” The lawyers also shared the information that although Gün and Ozdemir's airing places are not the same, their airing hours are the same, and pointed out the possibility of them physically encountering each other in the corridor. Gün's lawyers are preparing to initiate both the Ministry of Justice and other legal processes.
