AGIRÎ - Those who took part in the Qers branch of the "Great Freedom March" were welcomed in Panos with the slogans "Bijî Serok Apo" and "Bê Serok jiyan nabe".
The "Great Freedom March", which was initiated to ensure the physical freedom of PKK Leader Abdullah Ocalan and to solve the Kurdish issue, is on its 4th day. Marchers on the Qers (Kars) branch reached the Panos (Patnos) district of Agirî (Ağrı). The marchers were welcomed here with the slogans "Bê Serok Apo (Leader Apo)" and "Bê Serok jiyan nabe (Without Leader there is no life)".
March was held from the district center to the area where the DEM Party election office is located. While the slogans never stopped throughout the march, DEM Party Agirî Deputy Nejla Demir spoke afterwards.
'THERE MUST BE DIALOGUE'
Pointing out that there has been no news from PKK Leader Abdullah Ocalan for 3 years, Demir said: “Mr. Ocalan's physical freedom conditions must be ensured, and the path of dialogue must be opened for the status of the Kurds. We definitely want the negotiation to start. Our march started on this basis and will continue on this basis."
Stating that the Kurds have been subjected to all kinds of pain for 100 years, Demir said: “The government must understand this now; Kurds are a resistant people. Just as the state's centuries-old practice is evident, our century-long resistance is also evident. Oppression has never been able to intimidate or silence us. On the contrary, we got stronger every day."
After the statement, the marchers went to the election office and met with citizens. Sections from Ocalan's writings were read. Call for 'freedom and solution' in Panos
