ISTANBUL - Alper Yıldız, the son of Hatice Yıldız, who was arrested at the age of 75, stated that the decision made about his mother is political and that his seriously ill mother could not stay in prison.
 
A lawsuit was filed against 75-year-old prisoner mother Hatice Yıldız, who lives in Esenyurt, Istanbul, on the allegation of "financing a terrorist organization" for sending money to her daughter in prison and her daughter's cellmate. After a 3-year trial, she was sentenced to 4 years and 2 years in prison for allegedly "financing a terrorist organization" She was sentenced to one month in prison. Yıldız, has a number of health problems. She fell ill after the police came to her house and was first taken to the hospital on a stretcher, then arrested and taken to Bakırköy Women's Closed Prison.
 
Alper Yıldız, the son of Hatice Yıldız, who has health problems such as high blood pressure, eye, herniated disc and spinal curvature, spoke to our agency about what happened.

Stating that he was at work when the police came home, Alper Yıldız stated that he came home after his brother called him. Stating that he told the police that his mother was unwell and that he could not be detained under these conditions, Yıldız said: "I showed them my mother's medicines, but they did not listen at all even though I told them she is ill."
 
GOT WORSE AFTER THE THREATS
 
Stating that the police who came to the house threatened to break the door and take his mother away by force, Yıldız stated that his mother got worse after the police's threat. Yıldız said: “My mother was getting worse and worse. This time I told the police to take my mother accompanied by medical teams. They agreed and the ambulance arrived. My mother already has a disease and cannot stand, her hands and feet are shaking, she suffers from high blood pressure and faints from time to time. Even though I said this, they said 'We will take her.'" 
 
NOT EXAMINED, IT WAS SAID THERE WAS NO COUP
 
Stating that his mother was taken to the hospital, Yıldız stated that the police came to him and said, "There is nothing wrong with your mother, let's go." 
Stating that he insistently wanted to see a doctor, Yıldız said: “I saw that a medical personnel came, but it was not a doctor, I am sure of that. He also has a report stating that he was not assaulted. I looked at the report, there were no blood tests, heart graphs or anything. Before the tests came out, they forcibly lifted my mother off the stretcher and took her away. They threatened me, saying, ‘You cannot speak out in the hospital, we will detain you and take you away too.’ They forced my mother into a wheelchair and took her away. They said, 'We are taking her to Vatan, she will appear in the courthouse tomorrow morning,' but before I reached home, the lawyer called me and said that they were taking my mother to prison."
 
'DECISION IS POLITICAL'
 
Stating that his mother is seriously ill and could not stay in prison and the prison sentence given to his mother is an unlawful decision. 
Emphasizing that the decision is political, Yıldız said: “Our lawyers are currently doing their best, we will use our right to appeal to a higher court. We will apply to the Ministry of Justice. We will use all our rights to prove that my mother is ill and cannot stay in prison in this conditions.”
