ISTANBUL - 6 of the May Day prisoners were released as a result of the objection made by their lawyers.
6 of the 58 people who were prevented from leaving Taksim by police barricades during the May Day celebrations in Istanbul and were later detained and arrested were released.
Six people who were arrested on charges of "participating in unlawful meetings and demonstrations", "resisting to prevent the execution of duty" and "damaging public property" were released after their lawyers objected to the arrests.
