On October 25, 2023, Rojnews Arabic service editor Süleyman Ahmet was abducted by KDP forces while crossing from Northeastern Syria to the Federated Kurdistan Region and was not heard from him for 211 days. His family and lawyers reached Ahmet on May 22. Ahmet, who has been imprisoned for 249 days in KDP prison, will be brought to court for the first time tomorrow.
