ADANA - Speaking at the "Democratic Solution and Freedom March", Sümeyye Boz from DEM Party pointed out that the solution to the problems lies in Abdullah Öcalan's paradigm and says, "Conditions must be provided for Mr Öcalan to fulfil his mission."

The "Democratic Solution and Freedom March" started from Amed (Diyarbakır) to Ankara within the scope of the campaign "Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan, democratic solution to the Kurdish issue", led by the Democratic Institutions Platform, reached Adana. The marchers, including Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Co-Chair Çigdem Kılıçgün Uçar, came together at Dağlıoğlu Neighbourhood Karasu Junction in Seyhan district.

Hundreds of people welcomed the marchers with slogans. Hundreds of people who stopped to dance to the accompaniment of a sound system and melodies frequently shouted slogans.  "Yes to the solution, no to liquidation", "Berxwedan jiyan e (Resistance is life)", "We insist on the solution, we will win", "We believe in theoretical and practical power", "Jin, jiyan, azadî (Woman, life, freedom)", "Continue the resistance, salute to freedom", "Isolation continues" lollipops were carried. People gathered in front of the banner "Democratic solution march" and chanted "Bijî berxwedana Rojava (Long live resistance of Rojava)", "Bijî Serok Apo (Long live Leader Apo)", "Bê Serok jiyan na be (Without Leader there is no life)", "Everywhere Rojava, everywhere resistance", "Bijî bexwedana gelê me (Long live resistance of our people)" and "Jin, jiyan, azadî". The marchers made a press statement here.

Kerem Canpolat, Co-chair of the Federation of Legal and Solidarity Associations of Med Prisoners and Prisoners' Families (MED TUHAD-FED), stated that the isolation must be lifted for a solution and said: "These wars will not end without solving the Kurdish issue. All the demands we will express in Ankara will be the demands of our people."

Emin Ay, a member of the Democratic Islamic Congress (DIK), stated that the situation in Syria are worrying the peoples. "We will not allow them to drag the Middle East into war and the will of the Kurdish people to be trampled on. We want freedom for all peoples. In his call, Devlet Bahçeli said that Mr Öcalan is a messenger of peace. A law must be passed without waiting and Mr Öcalan's physical freedom must be ensured," Emin Ay said.

'THEY KNOW ADDRESS OF THE SOLUTION'

Lastly, DEM Party Mûş (Muş) MP Sümmeye Boz said: "We are marching to Ankara for democracy, solution and freedom of Mr Öcalan. We are marching for all peoples. This march harbours a hope. Mr Öcalan's idea offer a meaningl-ful perspective for he whole Middle East. Any intervention against this idea will lead to war. Those who call for peace on the one hand have shown their seriousness and sincerity by blockading us on the other. This is not an issue that can be avoided. Turkey and the Middle East is the most important problem to bring a solution to what is happening. Everyone who walks in pursuit of this problem is walking after this solution. Democracy and justice are not only the demands of the Kurdish people. They know that the insistence on the Kurdish issue and war policies are the source of all these problems. They have shown the address and we are showing this address once again. The solution to the source of all the problems is Mr Öcalan's idea and solution paradigm. Conditions must be provided for Mr Öcalan to fulfill his mission. Mr Öcalan's practical adn theoretical mind must be trusted and peace must be given a chance. This move will not end here. This march will continue until Mr Öcalan regains his physical freedom and the Kurdish issue is solved."

After the statement, the marchers set off towards Mersin.
