Öznur Bartın said: "Each of our friends will further increase their resistance against the system that thinks they will separate the people of Rojava and the people here. We promised our people that we will increase our struggle against the special war policies. Today, with a painful news, two of our journalist friends who have been working for years in this area where the occupation and annihilation policies continue here were massacred. We condemn these massacres. Each of us will continue to struggle like a free press worker to reflect the truth."
DEM Party Mêrdîn MP Beritan Güneş said: "Today, UCAVs are bombarding Rojava. We lost 2 of our journalist friends who continued their work despite all the difficulties. Journalists Cihan Bilgin and Nazım Daştan have been reporting to us and the whole world what is happening there since the war started in Rojava. They were targeted for this reason. When ISIS crossed the border from Turkey to Rojava, it was written with Nazım's pen. They were saying 'Tishreen fell' and our friend Cihan revealed that this was not the case. Both of our friends revealed the true face of the Turkish state. That is why they were targeted."
The statement ended with applause and slogans.
