RIHA - The vigil launched on the border with Kobanê against the attacks on North and East Syria continues on its 9th day.
The vigil started in Pirsûs (Suruç) district of Riha (Urfa), which is on the border with Kobanê, against the attacks of Turkey and its Syrian National Army (SNA) against North and East Syria continues on its 9th day. Democratic Regions Party (DBP), Peoples Equality and Democracy Party (DEM) and Free Women Movement (Tevgera Jinên Azad-TJA) led by DEM Party Riha MP Ferit Şenyaşar and Riha Peace Mothers Assembly and many citizens participated in the vigil.
The mass gathered at the Kobanê border in the early hours of the morning and started the vigil. "Nazım, Cihan rumeta me ye (Nazım, Cihan are our honour) and "Rojava rumeta me ye (Rojava is our honour) banners with the photographs of journalist Nazım Daştan and Cihan Bilgin, who were killed by Turkey's UCAV on 19 December while they were following news on the Kobanê border, were hung in the watch area. Citizens continue their vigil in the area with songs and halay.
