WAN - Politicians and citizens stated that everyone should stand against the attacks on North and East Syria and said: "We will protect Rojava together."

Reactions to the attacks of Turkey and its Syrian National Army (SNA) against North and East Syria continue.

Wan (Van) Tûşba Municipality Council member Leyla Çelik said: "At the point we have reached, the massacre of people, women and children should not be experienced anymore. It is necessary to act peace-orientated with all the differences and structures of people. The attacks on Rojava are directed against the women's revolution and women's gains. Like us, everyone needs to stand against these attacks. We should not accept this situation in any way and we need to speak out against this situation. We need to be united to be stronger."

Serav (Saray) DBP District Co-Chair Tuncer Kalkali said that the attacks on Rojava were massacres against the civilian population. "Everything of the peoples living there was destroyed. We hereby declare once again that we will protect Rojava. We will participate in the vigil to be held in Suruç and we will protect Rojava together. Rojava is not alone. Today, all the peoples of the world must protect Rojava," he said.

'ROJAVA IS NOT ALONE'

Ahmet Sarı, one of the citizens who stated that the reason for the massacres against the civilian population in Rojava is Kurdish indigestion, said: "Turkey is acting with the structures it previously called 'terrorists'. The only reason for this is that they want to destroy the Kurdish people there. We will protect the people of Rojava. The solution to all these problems is the solution perspective of Mr Abdullah Öcalan. Mr Öcalan's paradigm and thoughts will stop these problems and wars. On the one hand there are shouts of peace, on the other hand massacres against our brothers and sisters in Rojava continue. The only person we are sure of the solution is Mr Öcalan's paradigm."

A citizen named Senar Alataş stated that all Kurds are brothers and sisters and that what is being done to Rojava is being done to all Kurdish people.

'A WAR POLICY OF EXTERMINATION IS BEING CARRIED OUT'

Caziye Duman, Co-Chair of the Wan Agricultural Products Business Cooperative, said that the government waged a war against Kurdish gains and added: "There is a great Kurdish will and the will of the oppressed people resisting these attacks. It is clear that the attack orientations on the 4 parts of Kurdistan, especially on Rojava, have reached a dead end in their own policies. Rojava is of great value and importance for us. It is a place with a historical meaning throughout the world. The Kurdish movement is a source of confidence for all oppressed peoples in 4 parts. No matter how much its reality is denied, it should be known that the resistance against the policy carried out will not compromise in any way and the will will will not be surrendered."
