RIHA - Citizens from different cities participated in the march from Pirsûs to Kobanê border against the attacks and said: "Every word of Mr Öcalan that will reach us will build peace."
The vigil started at the Pirsûs-Kobanê border against the attadcks on North and East Syria continues on its 12th day. Within the scope of the vigil, a march was organized in Pirsûs today. Citizans from different cities participated in the march and demanded an end to the attacks.
Peace Mother Sebiha Sezen (64) came from Wan (Van) and stated that they travelled 600 kilometres with the hope of peace and said: "Their children are comfortable because they are not in this war, but we cannot sit comfortably in our homes. Our lungs are burning. This is why we have travelled this far. This war cannot last much longer."
'MR ÖCALAN'S MESSAGE IS IMPORTANT'
Fevzi Melet (65), also from Wan, stated that they came to Pirsûs to support the gains in Rojava and said, "In 2014, ISIS tried to carry out a massacre on the Kurdish people. Erdogan, who was the Prime Minister at the time, said 'It has fallen, it will fall' for Kobanê. The anti-Kurdish mentality still continues. Their plans to massacre the Kurdish people in Rojava continue. We condemn them. 4 parts of Kurdistan are one for us, whether Rojava or Bakur."
Emphasising that PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan's paradigm is coming to life in North and East Syria, "Mr Öcalan's message has a great impact on the Kurdish people. It is certain that the Kurdish people will not end with killing and shooting. This is also the message of Mr Öcalan. If the Turkish side takes his messages seriously, peace will come to these lands," he said.
'KURDS HAVE THEIR IDENTITY, THEIR HOMELAND, WE ARE HERE'
Stating that they came to Pirsûs from Rêya Armûşê (İpekyolu), Peace Mother Macide Varhan (46) said, "I call on all Kurdish people and the whole world. This blood has flowed enough. They must stop massacring Kurds, stop the attacks against Kobanê. We will stand by our people, Kobanê and our Leader as long as we can. Mr Öcalan's messages always find a response among the people. The reason why Mr Öcalan is imprisoned today is because he wants peace and freedom. Every word of Mr Öcalan that will reach us will build peace. If you cannot say that Kurds do not exist. Kurds will continue to exist. We exist, we are human beings, enough is enough. We have an identity, we have a homeland."
'WE WANT A SOLUTION TO THE KURDISH ISSUE'
Mülkiye Savraz (33), who emphasised that they had come to claim the Kurdish gains, "We will continue to shout that we claim our gains here. PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan's calls for peace were effective in today's enthusiasm. We will also reflect this message in the march," she said.
Medine Kıyak (66), who stated that they came from all over Kurdistan with the call for peace and the demand to stop the attacks on North and East Syria, said, "We do not want blood to flow. This is why so many of us travelled on the road. We are not the reason for this bloodshed."
Nahile Kaplan (54), who stated that they have been at the vigil for North and East Syria since the vigil started, said, "It is important that we are here today. We want peace. We also suffer the troubles of the war. That is why we are here."
Pointing out that their main demand is peace, İslim Demir (65) emphasised that they demand the cessation of attacks on North and East Syria, the solution of the Kurdish issue and the freedom of prisoners. İslim Demir said, "A meeting was held with Mr Öcalan and this increased our hope for peace."
