Videos surfaced on virtual media showing the execution of two women in Idlib. Verify-Sy, a signatory organization cerfied by International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN), confirmed that Shadi al-Weysi, the "justice minister" in the interim administration in Damascus, was the person who read the "verdicts" of execution of the women in the video that went viral on 4 January, showing the execution of two women in Idlib. According to Euronews, Shadi al-Weysi was identified as the person who read the "verdict" in the videos showing the execution of the two women through a comprehensive verification process using voice analysis and special technical tools.
Verify-Sy shared that HTS sources they contacted also confirmed the video.
