NEWS CENTER - 3 people detained in Ankara were arrested.
22 people, including sociologist Veli Saçılık, who were detained in house raids in Ankara yesterday, were referred to the courthouse after the security procedures. 2 people were released after their statements to the prosecutor's office. Peoples' Equality and Democracy (DEM) Party Çankaya District Organisaiton Executive Mert Orhan Ömerbeyoğlu, People's Democratic Association (Halk-Der) member Devin Asya Açıkelli and Kaldıraç member Sibel Göktaş were arrested.
Others, including sociologist Veli Saçılık, were released with judicial control measures. The arrestees were charged with "Violating the Law on Mettings and Demonstrations".
All 52 people detained on 23 March in Kızılay were released. 17 people were given judicial control measures.
The police procedures of 30 students detained in Middle East Technical University (METU) on 26 March are ongoing.
