DİYARBAKIR- 100 people, including journalists Abdurrahman Gök, Kibriye Evren and Semiha Alankuş and HDP Diyarbakır co-chair Mehmet Şerif Çamçı got arrested within the scope of an operation based in Diyarbakır and conducted in other 8 cities.
Journalists' and politicians' homes raided by the police this dawn within the scope of an operation conducted in 8 cities.The police force who raided homes with the help of the armed vehicles broke down doors and raided homes. 100 people, including journalists Abdurrahman Gök, Kibriye Evren, Semiha Alankuş, Esra Solin Dal and HDP Diyarbakır co-chair Mehmet Şerif Çamçı got arrested during the raids.
GÖK WAS FACED DOWN ON THE GROUND
The police who swoop down Gök's apartment with long barrelled guns, faced him and his home mate down on the ground and searched the apartment. The police who messed their house up, confiscated some books, journals and journalist equipment.
The people who got arrested were brought to Diyarbakır Police Headquarters. The grounds for their arrests could not been identified.
ALANKUŞ WAS TAKEN UNDER CUSTODY IN İSTANBUL
Alankuş was taken under custody within the scope of the same operation in İstanbul and will be brought to Diyarbakır

STATEMENT OF MINISTRY OF INTERROR: 90 ARRESTS
The ministry of interior have made a statement concerning the operations. The ministry stated that there have been 90 arrests in 8 cities within the scope of the operation. The statement is : "Within the scope of the mission of deciphering and avoiding the activity of KCK/PKK ,in an operation started at 09.10.2018 at 01.00 AM ,80 people is Diyarbakır, 3 people in İstanbul, 2 people in Van, 1 person in Şırnak, 1 person in Urfa, 1 person in Mersin, 1person in Mardin have been taken under custody. A large number of prohibited books, organizational documents and digital material have been confiscated. Operation is still ongoing.”
