ANKARA- Leyla Güven sent e video message to the HDP group meeting on the 97th day of her hunger strike and said: "I firmly believe that the hunger strike will end successfully. There might be people falling on this way but what is important is to reach the ultimate goal with success.

 

The weekly group meeting of People's Democratic Party (HDP) started with the video message of Leyla Güven who is on a hunger strike for 97 days with the demand of terminating the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

 

Leyla Güven said: "Greeting dear friends. I embrace you all one by one with love. Actually, I couldn't hug you after I was  released. I really missed you all. But now as you know, we are in a very important resistance. Our resistance grows a little more every day. And the fact that the people turning a blind eye  is disturbing. In this sense, the event you performed in Istanbul yesterday was very significant . You really got someone out of their way. There's no chance he would say, "I won't let them do this" again. Because despite all the threats, you have shown the necessary resistance there. I kiss you all heartily. I maintain my belief that this resistance will certainly result in success. There may be some friends galling on this way,  but what is important is to reach the ultimate goal with success. I trust you and our people. We will surely succeed. I would like to greet you with love with the belief that we will all be successful in the works we will carry out in this regard. We will definitely win. Berxwadan Jiyan e Hevalno!
