DİYARBAKIR- The neighborhood representatives of the demolished and historical neighborhood Sur where the curfew still continues, are trying to get through to their voters by phone. A neighborhood representative Koçero Topdemir who have been carrying his seal in his pocket for 3 years, said the candidates can not make promises because they do not have a neighborhood.

The historical Sur district in Diyarbakır where the demolishment still continues after the curfews and operations since December2, 2015 is levelled with the ground now.

Council of ministers decided urgent expropriation for almost 70 percent of the county which is equal to 6 thousand 300 parcels. The people living in the county were forced to migration.

The neighborhood representatives who carry their seals in their pockets continued serving the citizens scattered all around the city that went through the longest curfew in history. A new neighborhood representative will be elected in March 31 local elections. But it is a hard work for the candidates for there is no neighborhood left. For now the candidates make their propaganda via phonecalls. The posters of the candidates are hung on the walls and shop windows of other neighborhoods.
