MARDİN- Extraordinary measures were taken before the rally where AKP President Tayyip Erdoğan will attend in Mardin. The municipal teams of the municipality where a trustee was assigned,were mobilized to close the pits in the road.

 

With the participation of AKP President Tayyip Erdoğan, the city was blockaded before the rally in Mardin today. In the city where all activities were banned, the roads where Erdogan's vehicle convoy supposed to pass was closed with police barriers. Hundreds of police from the surrounding provinces are reinforced in the city, the control points established in many places since the evening hours where they checked the public's  General Information Screening (GBT) in every step. In addition to police mobility, there was intense military activity in the evening.

 

 All employees of the Mardin Metropolitan Municipality, in which a trustee was assigned, were mobilized before the rally. All the roads were swept away by the cleaning workers, and posters of Erdogan and AKP mayor candidates were hanged all over the place.

 

General Directorate of Highways also started maintenance and repair work on highways. Highways teams raced with time to repair  the city's asphalt that have been spoiled for a  long time despite the reactions of the people of the city. 

 

Highway Park, which is not a designated meeting area will be used for Erdoğan's rally while the place have never been allowed to any other political parties before, because it is not a designated meeting area. Municipality teams worked through the night to get the place ready.
