DİYARBAKIR-  Palestine People's Liberation Front (FHKÖ) Politburo member Leyla Halid visited DTK Co-chair Leyla Güven who has been on hunger strike for 159 days and said: "We must walk on the way leading to the freedom and victory of our peoples. Leyla Güven said: "We will most definately win."

Palestine People's Liberation Front (FHKÖ) Politburo member Leyla Halid  visited Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-chair and People's Democratic Party (HDP) Hakkari Deputy Leyla Güven who is on a hunger strike for 159 days, at her home. Tavgera Jinén Azad (TJA) member Ayşe Gökhan and Gülcihan Şimşek and HDP Dİyarbakır Deputy Saliha Aydeniz accompanied Halid where they were welcomed by Güven's daughter Sabiha Temizkan. Güven ,thanking Halid for her visit, stated that she can not talk much because of her health.

Güven said: "You are welcome. Your visit made me very happy. Your name has always been mentioned in the Kurdish liberation struggle. I can not talk much, I am so sorry. We are the Palestinian and the Kurdish people. We are right. We will most definately win one day. People of Palastine and the Kurds ar eon hunger strike for their people on 21st century. The world doesn't hear us. Mr. Öcalan is in solitary confinement for 20 years. Where is the human rights defenders and why don't they speak up? Our call is for them.

You came today and that made me stronger. I am so happy. We will most definately win. We did not cause the world war, but us women, will stop this war. The Kurdish women knew many women like  Leyla Halid and Leyla Kasım. No one should ask the Palestinian and the Kurdish to quit the hunger strike. They should tell the sovereign powers to stop the oppression and the tyranny. To die trying to establish that, is an honour for me. To do something for my people is a bliss. Thank you so much."

Leyla Halid answered and said:  "I am very happy I was able to see you. We want you to continue your struggle with us. You are strong. We will be stronger together. I am so happy as well. Our secretary General sends his regards and love. He is in prison as well. For 13 years. Our comrades say, we stand with her! Hundreds, thousands of them are on hunger strike. And you are too..

Meeting with you is my duty. We are all women in resistance, in struggle. We are using everything we have got to face them. But at the same time, we have to live for our future and the future of our children. We have to walk the way we choose. The way leading to the freedom and the victory of our peoples. Our voices have been heard in many places, many peaceful places. People have supported the hunger strikes of the Palestinian and the Kurdish."

After the visit, Halid and her company made a press statement and went to HDP Diyarbakır Provincial Organization to see HDP Deputies Dersim Dağ, Tayip Temel and Murat Sarısaç who are on hunger strike since March 3.
