People's Democratic Party (HDP) Deputies Serpil Kemalbay and Musa Piroğlu and HDP Provincial Co-chair Cengiz Çiçek reacted to the fact that the mothers have been harressed and battered with police batons.

HDP Dputy Kemalbay who stated that the mothers are waiting a watch for their children, said: "They are sending the tortorer police to hurt the mothers. Those attacks are inhumane and against the rules of the nature. Mothers protect their children no matter what.we have to resist that.

Piroğlu said: "The day the isolation in İmralı island is terminated, the hunger strikes will end by themselves. Those who stands side by side in the elections, must accomplish standing side by side in hunger. The people of Turkey have this responsibility to fulfill."

Cengiz Çiçek who stated that they have been standing with the mothers from day one, said: "This is unaccaptable. We will keep our democratic struggle against this mentality in all areas."
