Mothers wearing white cheesecloths: Öcalan's message gave us hope, we should cling to it

VAN - Mothers in white cheesecloths who have been struggling on the streets despite all attacks against the isolation in İmralı, stating that themessage of Öcalan is a new hope for the peoples, said: "We should cling to his message".

While the hunger strike action thousands of people around the world have participated have been called off, mothers who got out on the streets during that period did not leave the streets. Mothers who made history as 'Mothers in white cheesecloths' have been beaten violently by the police time and time again, taken under custody time and time again but never took a step back.
 
Mothers who were dragged through the streets because of their demonstrations in front of the prison gates, shouted the slogan "Bijî berxwedana zindanan" even at the hardest times.PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan congratualted the mothers whose resistance is heard though out the world in his last message. Öcalan who attributes great value to the resistance of the mothers, saluted them in their message, stating that their stance is very important. 
 
 
Keve Işık, one of the mothers who did not leave the streets of Van, who were subjected to violence, dragged on the streets, taken under custody time and time again, said: "Recieving word from Mr.Öcalan is a new hope for the prisoners and the peoples." Işık who stated that Öcalan never gave up from the demand for peace and democracy, said: "We don't accept isolation whoever it is imposed on. And we never will. Hunger strikes achieved a great success. A strong resistance emerged after a long period.We must cling to it."
