People's Democratic Party former Co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş, who is currently imprisoned in Edirne Type F Prison called on to the Kurdish voters regarding the İstanbul elections. Demirtaş who shared a message from his twitter account via his lawyers said: 1- "Hello my friends, how are you? We are doing ok. We are watching you with resistance and hope. There is not much time left for the İstanbul elections that was forcebly renewed. Our headquarters has already announced the attitude of the HDP,I am sure you all are doing what is necessarry.

 

2-I think there is no confusion, no hesitation. At least there  shouldn't be. Because it's not a multiple choice. If we want to pave the way for democracy, peace, justice, equality and freedom, HDP's attitude towards elections is meaningful and important.

 

3- We are equal, brotherly citizens who want to live together in peace. We have all experienced great suffering, atrocities and injustices. Nevertheless, we never lost hope of a beautiful future, because we are fighting for it.

 

4- We want to create a world without wars, expoitation, we want to create a world with democracy and justice.  For this, we strive to get together all the beautiful people who believe in democracy.

 

5- With each election, we are trying to pave the way for such a future. Of course, everything doesn't change solely on elections. We have to keep struggling with patience and determination in addition to the elections.

 

6- Beautiful people of İstanbul, vote for the bright future of your our children, not for hostility, vengeance, hatred, not for personal gains.

 

7- For today, we believe that Mr. İmamoğlu should be suported. Because we are beautiful together. Nothing would be good enough without HDP. And they should understand that you can take a horse to water but you can't make him drink. Hearty greetings to all of you!"
