Betül Zeybek who hasn't heard from his husband who was abducted in front of her children and her for 4 months, spoke to Mesopotamian Agency (MA).

 

Zeybek who stated that her husband is one of the 6 people that were abducted around the same time, said both her and her husband was discharged with a decree of law (KHK) during the state of emergency (OHAL).

 

Zeybek who stated that their appeal to the police and the prosecutor's office was not accepted, said she did not leave it there and appealed to the Supreme Court (AYM), European Court of Human's Rights (AIHM), Ombudsman Institution and Human's Rights Association. Zeybek said: "Ombudsman institution rejected our appeal. I appealed to Turkey Human's Rights Equality Foundation. They did not even put it into process. Later, I applied to Ankara Bar Human's Rights Center. Rights Initiative published a report.  I wrote to the Edirne Gendarmerie and Edirne Police Department, the Minister of the Interior and the Minister of Justice, but I did not get any answers."

 

 

Zeybek who stated that it is a very hard thing to wait for someone lost under custody and that she feels the pain of the Saturday mothers deep in her heart, said: "I was a child when the Saturday Mothers started their sit in. The media made a boogeyman out of them. I could not get it as a child. I later heard about their children being dissappeared under custody. Now I can relate to them better after all that I've been through. The media that made a boogeyman out of them does the same thing to us now. Its so painful to be marginalized. We who have been marginalized must stand together. It is very heavy. It is very heavy to wait for him. For me, for my children, for my husband's mother..We don't have a plan. We live by the minute, hour, day.."
