NEWS DESK - President Erdoğan have passed the buck to Europe regarding the thousands of ISIS detainees that could be freed during the operation against the North East Syria. Erdoğan said: "What steps can be taken on this issue, they will decide for themselves."
Before his visit to Serbia, AKP President and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made statements regarding the operation plan for North East Syria at Ankara Esenboğa Airport.
Erdoğan responded to the USA's statement regarding the fact that thousands of ISIS detainees held by the Syrian Democratic Forces could be freed in case of an operation against North East Syria.
Erdoğan claiming the numbers of the detained ISIS members is exaggerated, said: "There are some figures in prisons. We have an approach to this issue. There are ISIS members in Germany, France. They will conduct a study of what steps can be taken on this matter themselves. So we instructed our friends. What steps should we take to quickly get rid off these ISIS members here."
