GİRÊ SPÎ – Girê Spî Military Council Spokesperson Mihemed Heci Mehmud , stating that they do not want war but they will not allow the destruction of the city, said: "If Turkey choses to ignore this and attack, we will display such an historical resistance, and fight with all our strength."
The city where Turkey's mobility is most intense, is Girê Spî. The city which was saved from ISIS, provides the connection between the cantons of Kobanê and Cizîre. The city, consists mostly of Arabs, is governed by a common structure. The city is defended by the Girê Spî Military Council. Mihemed Heci Mehmud, the spokesman of the military council, said that they would defend themselves in any attack on their territory and borders.
Recalling that they had saved their city from ISIS before, Mehmud emphasized that they have been in a heavy war for 8 years. Mehmud stating that they do not want war and will not let Turkey destroy their city while they are in the process of rebuilding it, said that they will not break the agreement on the border security and added: ""If Turkey choses to ignore this and attack, we will display such an historical resistance, and fight with all our strength. We are ready to defend our people. We are the sons and daughters of these lands. We will stand by our people just like we did before. We will fight the Turks with all our strength."
ISIS IS MOBILIZING
Mehmud added that the presence of ISIS in the prisons of North and East Syria will enter a critical stage upon the start of a possible war in the region. Mehmud stated that it is not known what will happen to the ISIS members in that chaos and turmoil and that they can be a big threat for both the Syrian people and the people of the world.
