The prosecutor demanded arrest without taking a statement

ISTANBUL - Our reporters Sadiye Eser and Sadık Topaloğlu, who were referred to the courthouse, were referred to the court without their statements taken.

Sadiye Eser and Sadık Topaloğlu, reporters of Mesopotamia Agency (MA) who were detained after leaving the agency office in Beyoğlu district on 29 November in Istanbul, were referred to the Istanbul Courthouse.

Prosecutor who examined the file referred Eser and Topaloğlu to the 4th Penal Court of Peace with the accusation of 'being a member to an illegal organization' without taking their statements.The Prosecutor's Office demanded the arrest of Eser and Topaloğlu because of their trips abroad as well as the previous lawsuits filed against them.
