MUŞ - People's Democratic Party (HDP)'s Provincial Assembly members Mehmet Demir and Mehmet Şakir Tuğrul were taken into custody during raids on their homes. They were both dismissed from office by the Ministry of Interrior.
The reason for their detention could not be learned. Both council members were taken to Provincial Security Directorate.
BACKGROUND
9 HDP council members in Muş were dismissed from office by the Ministry of Interrior on September 9 in Muş. Before the dismissals HDP was in majority. Following their dismissals the majority of the council passed to AKP.
