ANKARA - Speaking at the 4th Ordinary Congress of HDP, HDK Co-Spokesperson Sedat Şenoğlu emphasized that the peoples have come together in the congress and stressed that they are standing tall because they are standing together. DTK Co-Chair Berdan Öztürk said: "The problems can only be solved when the isolation is removed. Mr. Öcalan is the only solution."
The 4th Ordinary Congress of People's Democratic Party (HDP) in Ankara continues with speeches. Peoples' Democratic Congress (HDK) Co-Spokesperson Sedat Şenoğlu and Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-Chair Berdan Öztürk spoke at the congress.
'WE ARE STANDING TALL BECAUSE WE ARE STANDING TOGETHER'
Şenoğlu said: "But we know that the suffering in the history of great humanity have always illuminated our way. We have partnered in pain, shared them. That's why we can stand tall here. For this reason, if we keep focusing on the peoples in the midsts of this capitalist barbarism , if we focus on the hope, if we keep saying life and freedom, that is because of the human dignity. We are standing tall here because we believe in the justice of labour and because we are committed to social morality. Our task is to build the peoples' assembly street by street, school by school, village by village, district by district, workplace by workplace."
ÖZTÜRK: ÖCALAN HAS A HISTORICAL ROLE
Speaking later, DTK Co-chairman Berdan Öztürk criticized the AKP's policies towards the Kurds in his speech in Kurdish. Öztürk said: “The name of this system is fascism. Our people constantly resisted against fascism, and this resistance has brought up to this day. For a century, this mentality continued to deny the peoples, especially the Kurdish people. At the point we have reached today, the Kurdish people and the non governmental organizations will not be liquidated, the fascist system will. You can not solve Turkey's problems or the Kurdish problem with annihilation and denial."
Öztürk emphasizing that the Kurdish problem and Turkey's basic problems can only be solved with the removal of the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, said: "Mr. Öcalan has a key role not only for the Kurdish people but also for the people of Turkey and the Middle East. Correct this mistake before its too late. Russia can't help you. America can't help you. The only solution is Mr. Öcalan."
Mentioning the national unity, Öztürk said: "National unity is the historical opportunity of the Kurdish people. If we provide this, this century will be the century of the Kurds."
