NEWS CENTER - There are heavy doubts about what the Turkish government is saying about the outbreak and it is worrying that it is not taking action.

 

CHP deputy chair, Veli Ağbaba, said that the government statements on the real extension of the Covid-19 emergency do not reflect the truth. He added that only on Saturday in Istanbul 20 people died. This contraddict the Health Minister who said 16 people

 

Ağbaba wrote on his Twitter account: "20 people died in Istanbul due to the coronavirus. These names exist in the e-government."

 

On Friday the Ministry of Health pointed out that 16 people across Turkey had died, but Ağbaba said: "In reality on Friday 20 people died in Istanbul, but the Minister said 16 people had died in 81 provinces. This is a scandal!! How will we believe them?"

Many people in the past few days had actually announced on social networks that their relatives had died, but all these deaths are not reflected in the numbers given by the State authorities.
