Armed attack on CHP's Mayor and his wife

HABER MERKEZİ - An armed attack was carried out against Burdur's Mayor from CHP, Mümtaz Şenel (68) and his wife Fatma Şenel (64). 
 
The Mayor of Yeşilova District located across Salda Lake known as Turkey's Maldives which came to agenda with company carrying sand with heavy construction equipment, and his wife were attacked in their home with his wife.
 
The unidentified people who came to the house of CHP Mayor Mümtaz Şenel in the Koyunlar Çeşme District around 04.30 knocked on the door. The assailants opened fire on Mümtaz Şenel and his wife Fatma Şenel, who opened the door.
 
The assailants who fired 5 times at CHP's Mayor Mümtaz Şenel's arms and legs, ran away after shooting his wife too. Many police, gendarmerie and medical teams were sent to the address upon notice. Mayor Mümtaz Şenel and his wife, who were taken to Yeşilova State Hospital by ambulance, were transferred to Burdur State Hospital after their first intervention there. It was reported that Mümtaz Şenel was taken to surgery.
