Prisoners start hunger strike in solidarity with İbrahim Gökçek

MERSİN - 15 prisoners from Kırıkkale Type F Closed prison started a 3 day hunger strike in solidarity with Grup Yorum.

 
The prisoners in Kırıkkale Type F Prison started a 3 day hunger strike to support the members of Grup Yorum. The prisoners announced that they started this hunger strike in memory of Mustafa Koçak who died on the 297th day of the death fast demanding fail trial and Grup Yorum member Helin Bölek who died on the 288th day of her death fast as well as İbrahim Gökçek who is now on the 322nd day of the death fast.
 
Prisoner Faruk Aras spoke to his father Sait Aras that him and 15 other prisoners will be on hunger strike for 3 days. Aras, stating that the demands of Grup Yorum are legitimate, made a call to all defenders of democracy and freedoms to be in solidarity with Gökçek.
