
Police raids weddings for 'Kurdish songs and halay'

	COLEMÊRG - Police raided 3 weddings in Colemêrg and detained musicians and some wedding hosts who sang Kurdish songs.

	&nbsp;

	Following Mersin, Agirî (Ağrı), Sêrt (Siirt) and Êlih (Batman), many people were detained in Colemêrg (Hakkari) for Kurdish songs and halay. Police raided weddings in 3 neighborhoods in Colemêrg. Some musicians, employees of a production company filming a wedding, and some wedding hosts were detained for "political songs". The number of people detained for "making propaganda for a terrorist organization" and whose number has not been determined are being held at the Provincial Police Department.
