Detention periods of journalists extended by 2 days

DİYARBAKIR - The detention period of 21 people, including 20 journalists, detained in Diyarbakır has been extended by 2 days.
 
21 people, 20 of whom are journalists were detained in Diyarbakır on June 8. The detention period of Dicle Fırat Journalists Association (DFG) Co-chair Serdar Altan, JINNEWS Director Safiye Alagaş, JINNEWS editor Gülşen Koçuk, Mesopotamia Agency (MA) editor Aziz Oruç, Xwebûn Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Mehmet Ali Ertaş, Ömer Çelik, Suat Doğuhan, Ramazan Geciken, Esmer Tunç, Neşe Toprak, Zeynel Abidin Bulut, Mazlum Doğan Güler, Mehmet Şahin, Elif Üngür, İbrahim Koyuncu, Remziye Temel, Mehmet Yalçın, Abdurrahman Öncü, Lezgin Akdeniz, Kadir Bayram and Feynaz Koçuk has been extended for another 2 days.
 
It was stated that the detention period was extended because there are warrants against more journalists who are not 'caught' yet and the search in the production companies the journalists are working for is not over yet. The restriction decision on the files of journalists held in solitary cells in Diyarbakır Police Department continues.
