DİYARBAKIR- The gravestone of Aliş Çekwar Çubuk, who lost his life in Sur, was destroyed for the second time by an unknown person or persons.

The gravestone  of Aliş Çekwar Çubuk, who lost his life in the curfews declared in Diyarbakır's Sur district in 2016, was destroyed in Yeniköy Cemetery in Diyarbakır's Bağlar District. The part with the inscription "Sur martyr" on Çubuk's grave and the parts with Çubuk's photograph were painted with black spray paint.

In 2017, on the grounds that "Cekwar" was written in Çubuk's grave, which is a Kurdish name, the gravestone  was destroyed by the trustee's staff upon the order of the police. Çubuk's family built a new one to replace the gravestone.
