URFA - Continuing her demand for justice, Emine Şenyaşar called for the release of her son being held in Elazığ prison in a cell alone, and said: "I lost my vision from crying. Release my son so that we can go back to our home."

The Justice Watch carried out by the Şenyaşar family has reached day 497. The sit-in was launched on  March 9, 2021 by Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons as a result of the attack carried out by AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives in the Suruç province of Urfa, on June 14, 2018. Coming from Suruç, the family started the sit in for the day.

'PROVIDE JUSTICE SO WE CAN GO BACK HOME'

Stating that she is waiting for the day her son will be released, Emine Şenyaşar said: "My son languishes in prison and we languish here. We have been staging this sit-in for almost 2 years. I lost my vision from crying. Release my son so that we can go back to our home. They are holding my son hostage. Why are the people who murdered my family outside? I want them punished and the MP to be stripped of from his status as an MP."

The family tagged the Ministry of Justice, Urfa Governor Salin Ayhan and Minister of Justice Bekir Bozdağ from Twitter and gave the following message: "Our sit in continues on its 497th day in front of the court house for a dignified life and a fair trial."
