"XWEBUN WILL CONTINUE TO WRITE"

In the statement, Licensee of Xwebûn Newspaper Kadri Esen said: "We condemn these pressures, seizures and obstructions. This intolerance is actually directed towards Kurdish. The state does not want the publication of a newspaper that publishes in Kurdish. They can confiscate and block our newspapers, but we will continue to do our job. Xwebûn Newspaper will continue to write. They implement this policy so that the Kurds do not gain their freedom and survivee, but to assimilate them. Many Kurdish publications have been published from the Ottoman period to the present day. These publications were banned both at that time and during the Republic period. The name meaning of Xwebûn is a radical dictionary for the Turkish state. Banning Xwebûn in Kurdistan is unacceptable. Under any circumstance, the Free Press and the Kurdish press will work despite the bans."
