KDP corruption in UN report: Hewlêr ranks first

NEWS CENTER - In a report published by the UN, it was announced that the biggest corruption in the Federated Kurdistan Region is in Hewlêr.

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) published a report on corruption in the Federated Kurdistan Region. According to the report, the biggest corruption in the Kurdistan Region is in Hewlêr with 43 percent, followed by Sulaymaniyah with 33 percent and Duhok with 24 percent. 
 
MOST IN THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE
 
The UN report noted that corruption is most prevalent in the region's 20 ministries and commissions. The most corrupt ministries were listed as Finance, Electricity and Municipality.
 
While the rate of corruption in the Ministry of Finance in Kurdistan Region was recorded as 25 percent, it was reported that 18 percent of corruption occurred in the Ministry of Electricity and 17 percent in the Ministry of Municipalities.
