Prisoner Bozkurt's family files criminal complaint against prison

RIHA - Zeliha Bozkurt, the mother of Abdulkadir Bozkurt, a prisoner who was subjected to torture in Tekirdağ Prison, went to Urfa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and filed a criminal complaint against the perpetrators. DEM Party Headquarters also decided to send a delegation to the prison following the torture allegations. 
 
Zeliha Bozkurt, mother of prisoner Abdulkadir Bozkurt, who was beaten and received death threats in Tekirdağ Type F High Security Closed Prison No 2, went to Urfa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and filed a complaint against the perpetrators on charges of “threats”, “beating”, “abuse of duty” and “psychological pressure”. 
 
The complaint drew attention to the situation of prisoner Bozkurt, who called his family on August 15 and said that he was threatened with death and beaten in front of the cameras by the prison director, chief wardens and psychologist. The petition demanded that the torture and beatings be investigated and the perpetrators be punished and stated: “I undertake that due to personal hatred and hatred against my son, he should be transferred to Şanlıurfa or neighboring provinces and that I accept all necessary expenses for the transfer.” 
 
DEM PARTY SENDS A DELEGATION
 
On the other hand, Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Headquarters sent a delegation to Tekirdağ Type F High Security Prison No. 2. The delegation, including DEM Party Colemêrg MP Onur Düşünmez, will hold talks with prisoner Bozkurt and other prisoners in the prison about the torture and beatings. 
 
WHAT HAPPENED?
 
Abdulkadir Bozkurt, a prisoner in Tekirdağ Type F High Security Closed Prison No. 2, called his family on August 15 and said that he was threatened with death and beaten in front of the cameras by the prison director, chief wardens and psychologist. In response, Abdulkadir Bozkurt's brother Serdal Bozkurt filed a complaint to the General Directorate of Prisons and Detention Houses of the Ministry of Justice about the threats and beatings.
