The Democratic Autonomous Administration for North and East Syria (AANES) made a written statement regarding the attack carried out yesterday evening by armed groups affiliated to the Syrian Transitional Government in the village of Um Tine in Der Hafer, in which 7 people were massacred. Stating that those responsible for the massacre should be held to account before justice and the perpetrators must be punished, the AANES statement reads:
"We strongly condemn these barbaric attacks. This attack is an indication of the continuation of the hostile approach against our people. In this period when our country is going through a sensitive process, everyone should be in an effort away from violence and denial for a safe tomorrow. The perpetrators must be held accountable and punished before justice. We call on the international community to fulfil their moral and humanitarian responsibilities towards civilians.''
