Erden releases after 30 years in prison

ŞIRNEX - Mehmet Salih Erden, a 30-year prisoner held in Elazığ High Security Prison No 2, was released. 

 
Erden was detained in 1995 in Hezex (İdil) district of Şirnex (Şırnak), and he was tried at the State Security Court (DGM) and sentenced to life imprisonment. Release of Erden was postponed for 6 months on 11 January 2025. He was spent 30 years and 6 months in prisons Amed (Diyarbakır), Ordu, Sêrt (Siirt), Erzirom (Erzurum), Oltu, Gümüşhane respectively. 
 
Releasing yesterday, Erden travelled to his hometown Hezex with his family members who welcomed him.
