ŞIRNEX - Taybet Inan, whose body was held on the street for 7 days during the curfews in Silopi, was commemorated on the street where she was murdered.
Taybet Inan and her son-in-law Yusuf Inan, who were murdered on 19 December during the curfew imposed on 14 January 2015 in Silopiya district of Şirnex (Şırnak) and whose bodies were kept on the street for 7 days, were commemorated on the street where they were shot. The commemoration organised by Free Women's Movement (Tevgera Jinên Azad-TJA) and Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) was attended by Taybet İnan's family, DEM Party Şirnex MP Newroz Uysal Aslan, Peace Mothers' Assembly and many people.
Taybet Inan's photographs were carried at the commemoration. Carnations were left at the place where Taybet Inan was murdered. "Şehîd namirin (Martyrs won't die)" slogan was chanted at the commemoration. Afterwards, Taybet Inan's house was visited.
The group then visited the families of Ayşe Buruntekin and Mele Hasan, who were killed during the curfews.
